Portrait of Andrea

Here's an acrylic portrait I painted yesterday of my friend Andrea. She commissioned a painting, and since portraits are what I do best, I thought I'd play it safe.

Andrea and I met at CalArts, CSSSA, and shared a dorm. Point of interest: Andrea recently shared with me that one of our suite-mates is now a renowned fashion designer, who outfitted Lady Gaga and her back up dancers. CalArts really does produce some talented people, and we both felt blessed to have been at CSSSA as teens. I would love to go there again and be surrounded by fascinating people doing brilliant things.

Andrea is in law school, at Hastings, which is one of the top 50 law schools. Isn't that awesome?!
